CONDITION
Bodywork and glass are in excellent condition. Paint colour is uniform throughout and has a deep lustre. A couple of very small flaws are highlighted in the condition video.
Mechaically car drives well with no apparent issues. Electrics and gauges are good with the exception of the left rear window which is not working. Also the miles to kms switch for the display does not function.
Car was last serviced in 2023 at 55,200 miles. New front Bilstein shocks have just been fitted and NCT is done now till 3/2027
Tyres are Events and dared 2017 with just 5000 miles clocked up on them. They have been marked advisory on the NCT as they are over 6 years old.
Interior is excellent with just light wear to report on the drivers seat commensurate with the 55,000 miles.
Underside has been cleaned down and undersealed.
HISTORY:
Purchaed new from Taggarts Jaguar in Glasgow by Sir Matthew Goodwin, founder of Hewdon Stuart PLC. Sir Matthew was one of Scotland's most prominent businessmen who grew his company into the UKs largest plant and crane hire business. He retired in 1995 so this car was probably a gift to himself despite him being known for not 'indulging in luxury or corporate swank'. Car remained in Scotland till recently having being more latterly owned by the proprietor of a former Jaguar Main Dealer. Car was a regular at Jaguar Drivers Club Scotland events.
