History:
Chassis no B2128 UK reg was CYL403H
Car 1st registered in 1970
Letter from Morgan archives states car was originally Light Orange with black leather upholstery. Supplied by central London Morgan dealer Brian Roy.
In 1987 there are details on file of a major restoration including replacement chassis and new wooden frame.
In 1991 the car was purchased by its 3rd owner as a family car. He toured the UK and Europe in it with his 3 children for a number of years before he had a ‘mid life crisis’ as he put it and took up motorsport. Car was steadily modified and was successfully campaigned in the Morgan Speed Challenge (Hill Climbs) gaining second overall and first in class and the Morgan Company Challenge securing several class wins.
Two further owners in UK purchased in 2011 and in 2015
Purchased from Williams Automobiles Morgan specialists in Bristol and imported into Ireland in 2018 where last owner mainly used for Sunday drives.
Car has been well fettled mechanically whilst the body and interior retain a nice racing patina.
Huge history file accompanies car with stacks of invoices and old MoTs that substantiate the mileage of 68,000 as being credible
Ideal if you are looking for a low cost Morgan in ready to use condition for the road or can be returned to competition use with a little expenditure.
